Next How-To Thursday: Adorable Hooded Towels!

Our next How-To Thursday is coming up fast! Join us on Thursday, Sept 24, 7:30 pm at the church! Brittney Archibald will be teaching us how to make Adorable Hooded Towels! We thought we'd do a quick blog post about the project so you have all the information you need to make the best hooded towels around!

Click here to see Brittney's latest hooded towel creation...and click here for more animal hooded towel inspiration!

To make one plain hooded towel, please bring with you:
- 1 towel
- 1 coordinating washcloth
- If the color is "crazy" - bring coordinating thread as well

The washcloth makes the hood part, so, the bigger the washcloth, the bigger the hood will be. A regular washcloth fits well for a toddler and/or baby. A hand towel may be better for bigger kids.

If you want to make the towel look like an animal, please bring EXTRA washcloths/hand towels in the coordinating colors. For example: A green dragon with orange spikes needs- 1 dark green towel, 2 dark green washcloths, 1 orange hand towel or 2 orange wash clothes. A simple-version duck will need - 1 yellow towel, 1 yellow washcloth, and 1 orange washcloth (and a white washcloth if you want eyes on the hood).

Please feel free to contact Brittney Archibald directly if you need help figuring out supplies and patterns. She is happy to work with people ahead of time!

We also need people to bring sewing machines/thread/pins/scissors...if you have any of these supplies and are willing to share on Sept 24, please let Brittney know!

See you on the 24th, towels in hand!
